Hey Chiefy: Thought I would wait til' today (Monday) to make my comment regarding the "Bail Out".
We were led to believe that this $700+ Billion (That's with a "B") windfall would shore up the U.S. economy and we would all live happily ever after.
Well, as we speak, the stock market has been down as low as $500
and falling. Funny, the Government has never lied to us before.

Mr. Cowart:
I would be all for the government coming to the rescue of an ailing institute, if we had a government that we could trust. They certainly have not done anything good with our money in the past, so why should we think they would start now??? I am PRO America all the way, and I think that we are the greatest ship afloat, but the citizens are getting the raw end of every "deal" that is made and sent down to us. I also think that the 700 + Billion would have been in much safer hands, had it been divided up among the Americans citizens, where they could have at least been able to pay their bills! But, then, who asked me????

Everyone I have talked to has voiced no confidence in the government to successfully implement this bailout. Sometimes doing nothing is worse than doing anything. Sometimes it's not. This is one time our do nothing Congress should have done nothing.
